How does your email search system work?

At this point you can decide whether you would like to purchase a detailed report when available.


What types of searches are available on your web site?

Currently WhoEmails.me offers reverse email records by name or by email address. Further details for marriage records, divorce records, death records, real property records (property and neighborhood checks), bankruptcy/tax lien/civil judgment records, criminal records, and SSN reverse searches are available to upgraded members only.


Will my personal information that I sign up with be added to your database?

No, all our data is compiled from outside public and private data vendors packaged together in an easy to use customer interface. All your information is private and NEVER shared with third parties or marketing agencies.

How does reverse email lookup work in general?

The best part about our search engine is that after you type in the email address you need to track down on our search page, the system will search various directories - both public and private - to find you the best email tracer report. If our major database does not contain any matching records, we will use our trusted partner databases to continue the search for a match. Basically, you can check several databases with just one search by using our reverse email service.


Do your databases contain unlisted (unpublished) email addresses?

The answer is Yes. We understand that most emails that people are searching these days come from hidden sources, so our top priority is to include these email addresses in all the databases we use for your reverse email searches. Information about a specific email address location, provider, and other details is available for almost all U.S. emails. The availability of ownership details depends on whether the email address is available in the used data sources.


Can I do a free reverse email trace?

Basically, when you perform a free reverse email trace on our site, you will first see some basic identifying information about that email, such as its registered state and city, and source type. Detailed tracer reports (see a sample report here ) are not free, however, and there is not a single web site on the Internet that can offer this info for free, especially for email tracing.


What is the "Unlimited Reverse Email Tracing" option?

In some cases, you will have an option to subscribe to unlimited reverse email searches. This service will allow you to do unlimited searches from within your account.


I paid for the tracer report but did not get confirmation or results. What to do next?

After you have completed a purchase, please check your email (including SPAM folder) for further instructions on how to access your account and view the report.


What information about the email owner is available?

Is my email search confidential?

How current is the data provided?

We access a variety of different public records sources from our data partners. As you can imagine, some of the sources are court houses, county and other government offices. These offices can be slow to update public information. We are as current as they are but some of the updates are out of our immediate control.


How do I sign into the members area?

I'm having login problems, what do I do?

Please, visit the URL emailed to you right after the sign-up, and use the lost password option to retrieve your login details. Or visit the homepage and use the Help link.

Is my membership maintained by automatic re-billing?

Whoemails.me offers a 5-day Free Trial.  Also handling cancellations. If you do not cancel the service, you will be charged on a monthly basis. To avoid being charged for your membership, you must cancel within the 5-day trial period by contacting customer support at Support@whoemails.me. You can also cancel within the members area through the contact form.

Can I remove my information from this site?

If you do not wish for your information to be searchable through our site, you need to submit an Information Removal Request. This request needs to include the following:

 

  1. A written explanation for the opt-out request. Identify the specific location of your data on our Website, where your personal data is publicly available, and describe why such personal data is inaccurate and harmful. NOTE: Please submit only ONE request per individual.
  1. A copy of your current driver's license or state identification (this information is necessary in order for us to authenticate that the request is being made by the individual to whom the information belongs to).

    All requests must include:
    - Full name and date of birth
    - Aliases, if any
    - Current address
    - Previous addresses
    - Phone
    - Email address
     
  1. Specific and complete details of the records you are requesting to be removed
    NOTE: Only your current and up to two previous address records may be removed.
  1. Include copies of the records you wish to have suppressed.
     
  2. Enclose copies of any applicable court orders.

Can I do a separate criminal background check?

Criminal records only exist for a small percentage of the population, so you would be paying for the ability to search this database anyway, thus the cost would be incurred whether or not a record exists. If the subject you were searching for doesn't exist within the criminal record search, the system will still return results for multiple criminals with similar first name, last name, or other characteristics. Taking these considerations into account, we provide criminal records as part of our comprehensive background check as a way to save your time and money on running separate criminal checks.


How current is the information provided?

This depends on the type of information in question, but generally very current. Some database-driven information is updated on a schedule (daily, weekly, and sometimes monthly). Other information is accessed directly from government archives via real-time internet gateways, and is therefore as current as the government records can be. Finally, some information is pulled in-person, at the courthouse, and is the most fresh, up-to-date information available.


Do these background checks cover the entire USA?

We offer instant background checks which may include records from all 50 states. Please note, that not all searches cover all states, though. Please also note that there are specific jurisdictions within each state, and this may not include all areas within that state.


How do I view my purchased background report?

Please, refer to the email that has been sent to you right after you made a purchase. It will include the login details and other necessary information about your account.
